Text: : Leviticus 19:30-31
30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
COUNTERFEIT & DESTRUCTIVE CHANNELS: Familiar Spirits
- Memory Verse: Isaiah 8:19 “And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?”Familiar spirits are unauthorized, deceptive, and corrupt spiritual entities that attempt to communicate by imitating voices, patterns, and personalities. Their purpose is to deceive, mislead, and gain influence by appearing familiar, trustworthy, or convincing. They operate outside God’s authority and seek to draw people away from divine truth and protection.
Familiar spirits often work by imitating known voices, behaviours, or personal experiences to gain trust. They may attempt to present false guidance, introduce deception, or create confusion. Because they imitate what appears familiar, they can appear convincing to those who lack spiritual discernment.
Familiar spirits imitate voices, patterns, and personalities. Their strategy is to create false spiritual experiences that appear real or trustworthy. However, their communication does not align with God’s Word and does not produce true peace or righteousness. Instead, their influence leads to deception, fear, confusion, and spiritual instability.
God strictly forbids seeking or accepting communication from familiar spirits because they corrupt spiritual clarity and separates from divine truth. You are instructed to seek guidance only from God through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and authorized spiritual channels.
Familiar spirits are like impersonators pretending to be someone trustworthy. They may sound convincing, but their identity and intentions are false. Only careful discernment reveals the truth.
Action Plans:
- Reject every form of unauthorized spiritual communication.
- Strengthen your gift of discernment through the Scripture and prayer.
- Seek guidance only from God and the Holy Spirit.
COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 29: SS&S 642:: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
- When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obeyTrust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
- Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
- Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
- But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
- Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
Today’s Prayer
