Text: : Psalm 119:105
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Memory Verse: Hebrews 5:14 “Those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”Spiritual communication remains an active and vital part of God’s relationship with His people. God has not ceased speaking; He continues to guide, instruct, and reveal His will through His ordained channels. However, spiritual maturity requires discernment, because not every voice, impression, or spiritual experience originates from God. Understanding and applying biblical principles of discernment ensures spiritual safety, clarity, and alignment with divine purpose.
- God still speaks: God continues to communicate with His people to provide guidance, direction, correction, and encouragement. His voice brings clarity, peace, and purpose to those who belong to Him. John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
- Not all voices are from God: The spiritual realm contains both truth and deception. Therefore, every spiritual message must be tested carefully using the Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.”
- Discernment protects destiny: Discernment helps you recognize God’s voice and avoid deception. It preserves alignment with God’s will and prevents spiritual error. Matthew 7:16 “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”
- The Scripture anchors revelation: The written Word of God is the highest authority and final standard for the truth. Every revelation, impression, or spiritual experience must agree with the Scripture. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
- Relationship sharpens hearing: Hearing God’s voice flows from relationship, not technique. As you grow closer to God through prayer, obedience, and fellowship, your ability to recognize His voice becomes clearer and stronger. John 10:27 – “My sheep hear My voice.”

COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 29: SS&S 642:: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
- When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obeyTrust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
- Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
- Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
- But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
- Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
Today’s Prayer:
- Father, help me recognize Your voice and walk in obedience to Your truth.
- Lord, increase my discernment and protect me from deception.
- Holy Spirit, guide me always in clarity, truth, and divine communication.
