Text: Psalm 119:10
I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
Memory Verse: 2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…”
A compass cannot point in two directions at the same time. If it tries to do so, it loses accuracy and becomes unreliable. A heart divided between God and other loyalties loses spiritual direction. But a heart that is fixed on God becomes steady and dependable.
God looks for hearts that are fully committed to Him. According to 2 Chronicles 16:9, the eyes of the Lord search the entire earth for people whose hearts are completely devoted to Him. This means God is actively looking for men and women whose loyalty is undivided.
A divided heart attempts to serve both God and other competing priorities, personal ambition, worldly desires, or self-interest. Such divided loyalty weakens spiritual life because it creates inconsistency in faith and obedience.
However, a loyal heart chooses God above every other thing else. It places God first in decisions, priorities, and devotion. Loyalty to God means trusting Him, obeying Him, and remaining faithful even when circumstances are difficult.
When the heart is fully devoted to God, He promises to show Himself strong on behalf of that person. Divine strength, guidance, and favour flow toward those whose hearts are sincerely committed to Him.
An undivided heart produces spiritual clarity and strength. It allows you to stand firm in faith because your devotion is not scattered among competing loyalties.
God does not seek perfection in performance but sincerity in devotion. A loyal heart attracts God’s power because it trusts Him completely.
Action Plans

COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 29: SS&S 642: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
SS&S 642: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
