ALTARS OF SICKNESS AND AFFLICTION vs. THE ALTAR OF DIVINE HEALING
Bible Text: Deuteronomy 28:15–22
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22 The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Sickness is not always purely physical. In many cases, it has spiritual roots tied to evil altars. In Luke 13:11, Jesus healed a woman who had been bound by a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years. Her condition was not simply medical; it was spiritual bondage enforced by an altar.
Some families experience generational sickness patterns such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer, infertility, or mysterious diseases that reappear in every generation. These patterns are often sustained by evil altars seeking to drain life, wealth, joy, and destiny.
But the altar of Calvary stands above every demonic altar. On that altar, Jesus paid the price for healing through His suffering and His blood. Isaiah 53:5 confirms that healing is already purchased.
The altar of divine healing restores health, renews strength, repairs organs, and destroys sickness patterns. When activated, it enforces divine health over the body, soul, and spirit.
Today every altar of sickness must collapse. The blood of Jesus speaks healing and permanent restoration.

Exodus 15:26 “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
Generational sickness is an unwanted family inheritance, repeating through bloodlines as though illness were passed down like a surname. Though patterns may persist across generations, God reveals Himself as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. His healing power is greater than inherited affliction. When His covenant of healing is embraced, recurring patterns of sickness are broken, and what once seemed inherited can be replaced with a new legacy of health.

- Father, break every pattern of generational sickness affecting my family line; let inherited afflictions lose their hold completely, in Jesus’ name.

- Destroying Chronic Afflictions
Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD…”
Chronic affliction can feel like an unwanted tenant who refuses to leave a house, occupying space for so long that it drains strength, hope, and resources. Jeremiah 30:17 reveals God’s promise to restore health and heal wounds completely. His power addresses not only temporary symptoms but enduring conditions. When God intervenes, long-standing affliction loses its hold, and restoration replaces prolonged weakness with renewed health and strength.

- Healing of Hidden Diseases
Psalm 103:3 “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
Hidden diseases are like silent termites inside a structure, causing damage gradually before visible signs appear. Some conditions remain unnoticed until they become serious, but God’s healing power reaches what human eyes cannot see. Psalm 103:3 declares that He heals all diseases, including those not yet identified. His restoring power can touch hidden areas of weakness, bringing healing, strength, and wholeness where damage has quietly developed.

Luke 13:12 “And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.”
A spirit of infirmity is described in Scripture as a form of bondage that can keep a person under prolonged weakness or affliction. It is like chains restricting the body, limiting freedom and strength. In Luke 13:12, Jesus spoke deliverance and the woman was released. This is a demonstration of Christ’s authority to bring freedom from every source of affliction, restoring health, dignity, and wholeness to those in bondage.

- Father, loose me from every spirit of infirmity and prolonged weakness; let every chain of affliction be broken, in Jesus’ name.

- Breaking Cycles of Recurring Illness
Nahum 1:9: “What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.”
Recurring illness is like a storm that returns every season, disappearing briefly only to come back again with renewed force. Nahum 1:9 reveals the altar of God’s promise to make an utter end of affliction rather than offer temporary relief. His desire is permanent deliverance, not repeated cycles of suffering. When God intervenes, recurring sickness is broken from its root, and enduring health replaces the pattern of repeated illness.

Psalm 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
Emotional pain is like an invisible wound beneath the skin, others may not see it, yet it can affect strength, peace, relationships, and even physical health. Psalm 147:3 reveals that God heals not only visible wounds but also broken hearts. His restoration reaches inner pain, trauma, and grief. When God heals the heart, joy returns, peace is restored, and emotional strength is renewed.

Jeremiah 31:25 “For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”
Sickness and exhaustion drain strength like a battery slowly losing charge until it can no longer power anything effectively. Jeremiah 31:25 reveals God as the One who replenishes the weary and restores the exhausted. His healing does not merely remove sickness; it renews vitality, energy, and inner strength. When God restores strength, weakness gives way to endurance, and exhaustion is replaced with renewed power and vitality.

The blood of Jesus works like a powerful medicine that not only treats symptoms but removes the root of sickness. 1 Peter 2:24 reveals that through Christ’s sacrifice, healing was secured for you. His suffering brought restoration to both body and soul. When this truth is embraced, healing flows beyond natural limits. The power of His sacrifice brings cleansing, restoration, and complete wholeness.

Psalm 91:10 “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.”
Divine health is like a protective shield surrounding the body, guarding it from attacks before they can cause harm. Psalm 91:10 expresses God’s promise of protection from harm and plague. His covering acts as spiritual defence, preserving health and guarding off danger. When God’s protection is on you, future attacks are resisted, and the body is kept under His preserving care and protection.

Jeremiah 32:27 reminds us that nothing is too hard for God. DECLARATION
Beloved partners and listeners of Covenant Gate Prayer Ministry, today we stand upon the altar of Calvary where Jesus Christ purchased our healing with His blood. According to Isaiah 53:5, “By His stripes we are healed.” This means sickness does not have legal authority over our bodies because healing has already been paid for.
Today we announce the destruction of every altar sponsoring sickness and affliction. Every generational disease, chronic illness, recurring affliction, mysterious pain, and spiritual infirmity loses its power now. The blood of Jesus dismantles every demonic altar enforcing weakness, pain, and medical battles.
We declare that the altar of divine healing is raised in our lives. Our bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit, too sacred for sickness to inhabit. Every organ, tissue, cell, and system in our bodies aligns with divine health. Strength is restored, vitality returns, and medical verdicts are overturned by the authority of heaven.
We proclaim healing not only for ourselves but for every partner and family connected to this ministry. From this day forward, testimonies of healing, restoration, and divine health will multiply. The days of recurring sickness are over, and the season of supernatural health has begun.
Declare boldly over yourself: “My body belongs to God. Sickness has no authority here. By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed, restored, and established in divine health permanently.”
