Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 2:13–15
Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
Memory Verse:
2 Corinthians 4:4 “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ… should shine unto them.”
A person born blind cannot recognize colors or physical surroundings without help and guidance. Unbelievers living in total spiritual blindness cannot understand spiritual truths because their hearts remain separated from God’s light and revelation. Total spiritual blindness describes the condition of unbelievers who cannot perceive or understand spiritual truth properly. According to the Scripture, the natural person does not receive the things of the Spirit of God because spiritual truths require divine revelation and spiritual discernment.
An unbeliever may possess intelligence, education, skills, or worldly wisdom yet remain spiritually blind. Without relationship with Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit, spiritual realities often appear foolish, unnecessary, or difficult to understand. Such persons may reject God’s truth because their spiritual understanding remains darkened. The enemy also works actively to keep unbelievers in spiritual blindness. Satan blinds minds to prevent people from recognizing the truth of the gospel and receiving salvation through Jesus Christ. As a result, many continue living in deception, sin, confusion, and separation from God. Total spiritual blindness affects decisions, values, priorities, and eternal destiny. Unbelievers may focus entirely on worldly pursuits while remaining unaware of spiritual dangers and eternal consequences. Because spiritual light is absent, they struggle to recognize God’s voice, truth, and purpose clearly.
However, God desires every person to receive spiritual sight through Jesus Christ. The gospel brings light into darkened hearts and reveals the truth of salvation. Through repentance, faith in Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit, spiritual blindness can be removed completely. You will have to pray faithfully for spiritually blind people and share the gospel with compassion and wisdom. God alone can open hearts and reveal truth powerfully. No one is beyond God’s saving grace and transforming power.
Action Plans

Covenant Gate Hymnals 29: SS&S 642: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
