HEALING THROUGH THE TRUTH

CALL TO RENOUNCE DARKNESS

HEALING THROUGH THE TRUTH

Text: Acts 2:37–38

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

HEALING THROUGH THE TRUTH

Memory Verse:  Hebrews 12:11 “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Many examples in the Bible show that true healing comes through speaking the truth clearly and boldly. John the Baptist spoke directly to the people.in Matthew 3:2 He said, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near”. His words were not comfortable, but they prepared people’s hearts to receive Jesus.

Peter, in Acts chapter 2, preached about Jesus’ death and resurrection. He explained how people were guilty of sin and needed to change. Because of this clear message, about 3,000 people believed and were saved.

Jesus also spoke to the church in Laodicea in the book of Revelation 3:19, He said, “Those I love, I rebuke and discipline” This shows that correction is a sign of love. It is not meant to hurt but to help people grow.

These examples teach us that healing is not about just making people feel good. Healing comes when we face the truth. The truth helps us see our mistakes, change our hearts, and live better lives. The Bible encourages us to accept correction and allow God’s Word to guide us. When we do this, we move from pain to healing, from confusion to clarity, and from sin to freedom.

We should not be afraid to hear or speak the truth because it leads to real change. Spiritual healing is found in God’s honest words, not in messages that only make us comfortable for a moment. God’s way of healing is through the truth that calls us to repentance, faith, and transformation. When we accept this, we open the door to His healing power in our lives.

Covenant Gate Hymnals 90: ” THE POWER OF GOD’S REDEMPTION AND HEALING” By Apostle James Abache

    1. 1. In the darkness, lost and weary,Bound by chains, no hope in sight,God’s own hand came down so gently,Bringing mercy, shining bright.

Through the storm and deepest sorrow,

He has come to set us free,

By His grace, we find tomorrow,

      In His love, our victory.

      Refrain

Oh, the power of God’s redemption,

      Healing hearts, and making whole,

From the depths, He lifts us higher,

      Filling every broken soul.

By His stripes, we are forgiven,

In His grace, we find our healing,

      Praise to Jesus, Redeemer,

Power of God’s love and revealing.

      2. Once a captive to my fear,

Wounded, torn, and far from peace,

God’s own hand drew ever near,

      And my burdens found release.

Now I stand, in awe and wonder,

      In His presence, fully free,

All my wounds, He healed with love,

And He calls me to be whole in Thee.

      3. Every chain now broken, shattered,

      Every fear cast far away,

By His blood, our souls are gathered,

      Into light, we walk today.

      Let the healing waters flow,

Through His mercy, hearts are mended,

      By His love, we overflow,

In His power, we are defended.

      Outro:

      Glory, glory to the Savior,

      Whose redemption sets us free,

He is our strength, our healer,

      For all eternity.
