Text: 2 Corinthians 4:1-7

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

² But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

³ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

THE POWER OF GOD’S LIGHT brings life

Memory Verse: John 1:4 “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

Light and life are inseparable in the Scripture. Where there is light, life flourishes; where darkness reigns, death and decay prevail. The Bible tells us that in Christ is life, and this life is expressed as light to humanity. Without Christ’s light, men exist but do not truly live, they merely survive without purpose, joy, or hope.

God’s light brings spiritual life by awakening the dead soul. Before salvation, people walk in darkness, enslaved by sin and blinded by the enemy. But when the light of Christ shines, chains are broken, and new life begins. This is why salvation is described as passage from darkness into His marvelous light 1 Peter 2:9.

The light of God also brings vitality in every area; health, relationships, and destiny. Just as plants wither without sunlight, humans wither without the light of God’s presence. His light sustains, strengthens, and empowers us to grow. When His light shines on a family, peace and joy are restored. When it shines on a business, prosperity and direction emerge. When it shines on a weary heart, hope is revived.

Furthermore, God’s light gives eternal life. Those who embrace Christ Walk in the light of everlasting glory, never again bound by the power of death. His light is not temporary but eternal, guiding us into unending fellowship with Him.

Seek His light daily, for in it lies fullness of life. Let His light breaks every darkness of sickness, failure, and despair, replacing it with abundant life in Christ.

1. There’s a light that is shining in darkness,

While we wait for the dawning of day;

And it cheers us along on our journey,

Till the shadows shall vanish away !

The day of eternity blest;

Then take the wings of the morning,

And fly away to our rest.

3. From the sure word the prophets

have spoken, [the gloom;

There is light flashing forth through

For the Scripture can never be broken,

And the King in His glory will come.

And we pray and we watch for the dawn

5. We are not of the night nor of darkness,

Let us walk, then, as children of day;

And our joy shall ne’er vanish away !

Today’s Prayer

1. Lord Jesus, shine Your light into every dark place of my life and release the fullness of Your life in me.
2. Father, let Your light bring healing, restoration, and vitality into my family, work, and destiny.
3. Holy Spirit, sustain me by Your light and guide me into the eternal life that only Christ can give.
