Text: Job 33:14–15
14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
CHANNELS OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNICATION: What Is Spiritual Communication?
Memory verse: Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things.”
Spiritual communication is the process through which information, intent, will, or revelation is transmitted from the spiritual realm into human awareness. It is how God makes His thoughts, guidance, and purposes known to a person. This communication does not occur through physical senses alone, but through the spirit of man, which is designed to connect with God. Just as radios receive signals from invisible frequencies, the human spirit can receive divine signals when properly tuned.
God communicates to give direction, correction, warning, encouragement, and revelation. Through spiritual communication, you can gain clarity about decisions, understands divine timing, and aligns with God’s will. Without spiritual communication, you may rely only on human logic, which is limited and prone to error. But when your spiritual communication is active, it brings wisdom beyond human understanding and helps avoid danger and confusion.
Spiritual communication requires sensitivity, stillness, and alignment. God is always willing to speak, but humans must position themselves to receive. Distractions, sin, fear, and inconsistency can weaken spiritual sensitivity, while purity, faith, prayer, and obedience strengthen it. The more you respond correctly to divine guidance; the clearer and more frequent spiritual communication becomes. Spiritual communication also builds relationship. It is not only about receiving instructions but about fellowship with God. Over time, you learn to recognize God’s voice, distinguish it from distractions, and walk confidently in divine direction. This communication brings peace, assurance, and confidence even in uncertain situations.
Action Plans:
- Maintain consistent fellowship with God through daily prayer, Scripture study, and meditation to recognize His voice, understand His principles, and build a strong spiritual connection.
- Practice quietness, stillness, and immediate obedience to divine promptings to sharpen spiritual sensitivity and strengthen clarity in receiving divine guidance.
- Preserve spiritual purity while cultivating faith, patience, and consistency by avoiding habits that dull spiritual awareness and remaining steadfast in your spiritual walk.
COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 29: SS&S 642: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
- When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obeyTrust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
- Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
- Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
- But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
- Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
