ALTARS OF OPPOSITION AND ENEMIES vs. THE ALTAR OF DIVINE PROTECTION
Bible Text: Psalm 64:1–6
1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
Memory Verse: Psalm 91:11 “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
Opposition is a reality in the journey of destiny. Throughout Scripture, God’s people encountered resistance from enemies, jealous rivals, spiritual forces, and hostile circumstances. Often these attacks are not random events but are influenced by spiritual altars that release opposition against your progress.
These altars manifest through workplace sabotage, betrayal by trusted people, slander, blocked opportunities, unexplained losses, and sometimes even physical danger. Their purpose is to slow destiny, weaken faith, and discourage progress.
However, God has established a higher altar, the altar of divine protection. Psalm 91 reveals that believers live under the shadow of the Almighty, where angelic forces guard their paths. This protection forms a spiritual hedge around their lives.
When the altar of divine protection is raised, enemies may still plan attacks, but those plans fail. Traps are exposed, dangers are diverted, and you walk safely through situations that could have caused harm.
Today every altar of opposition raised against you is dismantled. The altar of divine protection rises over your life, establishing safety, victory, and divine preservation.
Action Steps

1. Protection from Hidden Enemies
Psalm 27:2 “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”
Like hunters falling into their own traps, hidden enemies may plan secretly, yet God overturns their schemes unexpectedly. David acknowledged that although adversaries surrounded him with harmful intentions, divine protection caused their attacks to fail completely. This passage reminds believers that God sees every concealed plot, whether physical or spiritual, and remains a mighty defender. No secret opposition can prevail when God stands as protector, because enemies eventually stumble before accomplishing destructive intentions against His people.

2. Protection from Slander
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”
Like poison slowly spreading through clean water, slander damages reputations through hidden lies and false accusations. Yet God promises divine vindication for His people when others rise unjustly against them. This is an assurance that harmful words, malicious gossip, and unfair judgment will not ultimately succeed in your life. God Himself becomes the defender of His servants, exposing falsehood and establishing truth. Even when accusations seem powerful temporarily, divine justice overturn lies and preserves the integrity of the righteous completely.

3. Deliverance from Betrayal
Psalm 41:9 “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.”
Like a cracked foundation beneath a strong building, betrayal causes pain because it comes from trusted people unexpectedly. David expressed the sorrow of being wounded by a close companion rather than an open enemy. God understands the deep emotional hurt caused by deceit and disloyalty. Even when trusted relationships fail, God remains faithful, bringing healing, wisdom, and protection. He exposes hidden intentions, strengthens broken hearts, and surrounds His people with trustworthy companions and divine peace continually.

4. Protection from Workplace Opposition
Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
Fierce storms delay a traveller’s journey, workplace opposition can hinder progress, create tension, and discourage productivity. Yet God’s favour has power to calm hostility and transform difficult environments peacefully. When you walk uprightly before God, He influences hearts and establishes peace even among adversaries. Divine wisdom, humility, and integrity attract favour beyond human effort. God can soften hardened attitudes, remove unnecessary conflicts, and turn opposition into cooperation, allowing His people to thrive confidently and successfully.

5. Protection from Accidents
Psalm 121:7 “The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.”
Like a strong shield covering a traveler during dangerous journeys, God’s protection surrounds believers against seen and unseen dangers daily. To God’s people, His preserving power extends beyond physical safety into every area of life. Whether traveling, working, or resting, the Lord watches faithfully over His children continually. Accidents and sudden dangers may arise unexpectedly, yet divine mercy intervenes powerfully. God remains a constant guardian, directing paths safely and delivering His people from harm through His unfailing protection always.

6. Protection from Financial Attacks
Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Like hidden leaks slowly draining water from a container, financial attacks can quietly reduce resources, opportunities, and stability unexpectedly. Yet God’s blessing brings lasting provision without sorrow or destruction attached to it. True prosperity comes from divine favour rather than dishonest gain or human struggles alone. God is able to preserve income, multiply resources, and frustrate every form of financial sabotage. His protection establishes stability, opens doors of opportunity, and sustains His people through every season faithfully.

- Father, stop every financial sabotage affecting my income, business, opportunities, and household provision permanently, in Jesus’s name. Amen.

7. Protection from Spiritual Attacks
Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Like soldiers entering a battle fully protected with armor and shields, you need spiritual protection against unseen attacks daily. Spiritual warfare is real, but God provides divine armor for victory and endurance. Through faith, prayer, righteousness, truth, and God’s Word, you can stand firm against evil strategies. God does not leave His people defenseless during spiritual conflicts. His power strengthens hearts, protects minds, and grants overcoming victory against every invisible force working against their peace and destiny continually.

8. Angelic Protection
Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
Like trained guards surrounding a fortress day and night, God’s angels provide divine protection for His people continually. Heaven’s protection is active around those who honour and trust God sincerely. Angelic protection involves guidance, deliverance, and intervention during danger or trouble. Although unseen physically, God’s angels work according to His command to preserve His children from harm. You can live confidently, knowing divine security surrounds you and every planned attack can be intercepted through God’s mighty power faithfully.

9. Protection from Evil Traps
Psalm 124:7 “Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.”
Like birds escaping suddenly from hidden snares set by hunters, God rescues His people from dangerous traps prepared secretly against them. This is a celebration of divine deliverance from unseen schemes designed to cause harm, failure, or destruction. Enemies may carefully arrange obstacles and deceptive situations, yet God’s power breaks every snare completely. You can trust God to expose hidden dangers before they succeed. His wisdom provides direction, protection, and timely escape, ensuring that evil plans fail and His people remain secure continuously.

10. Protection for Family
Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Like a strong covering protecting a household during heavy storms, God’s presence preserves families from danger, fear, and destruction. Joshua boldly declared that his household would remain devoted to serving the Lord faithfully. Your family protection is strengthened through obedience, unity, and trust in God. The Lord watches over homes that seek Him sincerely, bringing peace, stability, and divine security. Even during uncertain times, God remains a faithful protector, shielding families from harm and surrounding them with His enduring mercy continuously.

11. Protection for Ministry and Calling
2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”
Like strong walls protecting a city from invading forces, God preserves the ministry and calling of His servants against opposition and discouragement. Divine faithfulness sustains those chosen for God’s purpose continually. Challenges, criticism, and spiritual resistance may attempt to hinder progress, yet God strengthens and protects His people from evil. He establishes their work, grants endurance, and ensures His purpose prevails. Those who trust God faithfully can continue serving confidently, knowing His power guards their calling and ministry assignments always.

12. Protection from Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Dark clouds temporarily hides sunlight, fear can weaken confidence, disturb peace, and limit faith. Yet God does not desire His people to live in anxiety or intimidation continually. God provides power, love, and sound judgment instead of fear. Through His Spirit, hearts are strengthened with courage and stability during uncertain situations. Fear loses control when you trust God’s promises faithfully. Divine confidence replaces panic, enabling God’s people to walk boldly, peacefully, and victoriously through every challenge they encounter.

Exodus 14:14 “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
In a violent storm suddenly becoming calm, God’s intervention transforms difficult battles into powerful testimonies of victory. When the Israelites faced danger before the Red Sea with enemies pursuing behind them. God assured His people that He would fight on their behalf while they remained confident and peaceful. You can trust God during opposition, hardship, and spiritual conflicts. His power overcomes every enemy, frustrates evil plans, and brings deliverance. Divine victory becomes visible when faith rests completely in God’s mighty intervention.

Psalm 121:8 “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
A shield is carried everywhere for constant defense, God’s protection surrounds His people in every journey and activity daily. Thanksgiving recognizes God’s faithfulness in preserving lives from seen and unseen dangers. The Lord watches over every movement, whether leaving home or returning safely. His protection is not temporary but enduring through every season of life. Grateful hearts acknowledge that divine covering, guidance, and preservation come from God alone, whose mercy and faithfulness never fail His people.

According to Psalm 91:11, the Lord has given His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways. Your lives are not exposed to danger but covered by divine protection.
Today I declare that every altar enforcing sabotage, slander, betrayal, and opposition is destroyed by the power of the blood of Jesus. Every hidden enemy working in secret against your progress is exposed and defeated. Every trap set against your destiny fails, and every evil plan returns to its sender in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
I proclaim that the altar of divine protection is established over your homes, families, ministries, and businesses. Angelic forces surround you daily, guarding your paths and preventing every form of harm. No accident, attack, or spiritual assault will derail the purpose of God in your lives.
From this day forward, you begin to walk with confidence, knowing that God Himself is your defender and shield. The Lord fights your battles, silences every adversary, and establishes your victory. What the enemy meant for harm will turn into testimonies of God’s faithfulness in Jesus’ name. Amen.
