Bible Reading: Genesis 26:12–14

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

13 And the man became great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

From the moment God designed your life, He placed a unique purpose inside you. Before you were even born, He already knew your name, your assignment, and the impact you would make on the world. Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” This means you are not an accident. You are chosen, set apart, and sent into this world for a reason.

However, a life with great destiny will always attract attention, both good and bad. When God’s favour is upon you, heaven celebrates you, and people are drawn to you. Doors of opportunity open, and you experience blessings that make others notice you. But at the same time, the enemy also notices. Satan studies your life and sees hints of your future. He targets not just where you are now, but where you are going.

This is why spiritual battles often increase when you are close to a breakthrough. The enemy’s goal is to frustrate, delay, or destroy the future God has planned for you. He did it with Joseph, who had prophetic dreams but was thrown into a pit and sold as a slave. He did it with David, who was anointed king but had to run from Saul for years. He even tried it with Jesus, who as a baby became the target of King Herod’s killing decree.

Understand this: the attacks you face are not always about your current situation. They are often about your potential, your prophetic future. The enemy fears what you will become, the lives you will change, and the glory God will get through you.

This is why you must guard your destiny with prayer, obedience, and discernment. Refuse to compromise your values. Resist the devil’s traps of sin, fear, and distraction. Remember, if the enemy is fighting you hard, it’s a sign that your future is valuable.

Destiny attracts attention, but the God who gave you that destiny is also your protector. If you stay close to Him, no weapon formed against you will prosper. Your future is in God’s hands, and no power of darkness can stop what He has ordained.

COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 129 “GOD, GIVE ME BACK MY DESTINY”

By Apostle James Abache

1. Thanksgiving for Purpose

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

God created you with a plan and a purpose, setting you apart even before your birth.

Prayers:

• Lord, thank You for designing my life with divine purpose.
• Thank You for calling me for Your glory.
• I praise You for the unique assignment You’ve prepared for me.
• Divine Favour

Psalm 5:12 “For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”

God’s favour surrounds and protects those who follow Him.

Prayers:

• Father, let Your favour guide and protect me in every area of my life.
• Surround me with Your blessings that others will notice.
• Let Your favour open doors that no one can close.
• Spiritual Discernment

2 Kings 6:17 “And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

God can reveal the unseen realities of spiritual battles and help us avoid traps.

Prayers:

• Lord, open my spiritual eyes to see the schemes of the enemy.
• Give me wisdom to distinguish truth from deception.
• Protect me from unseen dangers that threatens my destiny.
• Deliverance from Evil Plans

Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”

God guarantees victory over every plot, curse, or scheme directed at your life.

Prayers:

• By the blood of Jesus, I cancel every plan of the enemy against me.
• Let every attack directed at my destiny fail.
• Protect me from evil manipulations, curses, or distractions.

• Strength to Overcome Trials

James 1:12 “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

Trials test faith, but God rewards perseverance with victory and blessings.

Prayers:

• Father, strengthen me to face challenges without fear.
• Help me endure trials with patience and hope.
• Let every test produce victory in my life.
• Restoration of Lost Time

Joel 2:25–26 Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

God restores what the enemy has stolen, bringing back lost opportunities and blessings.

Prayers:

• Lord, restore every lost opportunity and blessing in my life.
• Let Your restoration bring abundance and joy.
• May the enemy never reclaim what You have restored to me.
• Acceleration of Blessings

Amos 9:13 “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.”

God can speed up delayed breakthroughs according to His perfect timing. God can speed up delayed blessings. Seasons of waiting can turn into seasons of overflow. Progress can become continuous and unstoppable. Barriers standing in the way of your destiny can be removed

Prayers:

• Father, accelerate every blessing and breakthrough in my life.
• Let doors open faster than I expect.
• Turn delays into opportunities for exponential growth.
• Protection from Destiny Killers

Psalm 91:3 “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.”

A destiny that attracts attention also attracts opposition. The “snare of the fowler” represents hidden traps set for those whose lives carry purpose and impact. God promises deliverance from both visible and invisible attacks, ensuring that no enemy can terminate or derail what He has ordained. God protects His people from those who try to destroy their calling or destiny.

Prayers:

• Lord, deliver me from every hidden trap set against my destiny.
• Father, expose and dismantle every plan designed to silence or destroy my calling.
• Surround my life with divine protection so my destiny will advance unhindered and bring You glory.
• Fulfillment of Prophecy

Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and it shall not lie.”

God-ordained destiny cannot remain hidden forever. When the appointed time arrives, the vision “speaks” it becomes visible, undeniable, and attracts attention. Delays do not cancel prophecy; they prepare it. What God has spoken over your life will manifest openly and unmistakably. God’s promises are sure; what He has spoken will come to pass in its perfect time.

Prayers:

• Lord, let every prophecy concerning my life speak clearly and powerfully in its appointed time.
• Father, remove every delay, distraction, or resistance fighting the manifestation of my destiny.
• God, cause my destiny to manifest in a way that brings glory to Your name and draws the right attention.

1. Victory Over Opposition

Isaiah 29:8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

Destiny that attracts attention will also attract opposition. However, God promises that every force rising against His purpose will end in frustration and emptiness. Those who fight a God-ordained destiny will labour in vain, because what God has established cannot be overturned. God frustrates every enemy and opposition against His people.

Prayer Points:

• Father, let every opposition rising against my destiny end in frustration and failure.
• Lord, render powerless every person, system, or force resisting Your purpose in my life.
• Let my victory over opposition be evident and bring glory to Your name.
• Wisdom for Decisions

Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

When destiny attracts attention, every decision matters. Visibility without wisdom can lead to mistakes, but wisdom preserves, directs, and sustains destiny. God’s wisdom ensures that each step you take aligns with His purpose, protects open doors, and positions you for lasting impact. Wisdom is the key to making the right choices and stewarding opportunities.

Prayers:

• Lord, grant me divine wisdom to make the right decisions at the right time.
• Father, help me value understanding above comfort, popularity, or ease.
• Guide my steps so every choice I make advances and protects my destiny.

1. Open Doors of Opportunity

Revelation 3:8 “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.”

When destiny attracts attention, God opens doors that cannot be ignored or closed. These doors are not dependent on human strength but on obedience and faithfulness. What God opens for your destiny will stand, regardless of opposition, timing, or limitations. God opens doors that no one can close when we obey Him.

Prayer Points:

• Father, open doors of opportunity that align with my destiny and calling.
• Lord, help me recognize and boldly walk through every door You set before me.
• Keep every God-ordained door open until Your purpose is fully accomplished.
• Boldness in Purpose

Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest”.

A destiny that attracts attention requires boldness. Fear, hesitation, and discouragement can shrink purpose, but God commands strength and courage. His presence guarantees confidence, direction, and victory as you walk out your assignment publicly and faithfully. God empowers us to walk confidently in our calling, without fear.

Prayers:

• Lord, strengthen me to walk boldly in the purpose You have given me.
• I reject fear, discouragement, and intimidation concerning my destiny.
• Because You are with me, I will advance confidently and fulfill my calling.

1. Grace to Finish Well

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

God gives grace to complete the journey He has called us to, overcoming trials and opposition. It is not enough for destiny to begin well, it must finish well. God gives sustaining grace to endure opposition, remain faithful, and complete the assignment with joy and integrity. A destiny that attracts attention will also testify of God’s faithfulness at the end.

Prayer Points:

• Father, give me the grace to finish my race strong and faithful.
• Let no opposition, trial, or distraction cause me to quit or fall away.
• When my course is complete, may my life bring glory and honour to You.
