ALTARS OF RISINGE-AND-FALLING vs. THE ALTAR OF STABILITY
Bible Texts: Psalm 92:12–13; Joshua 1:7–9
Psalm 92:12 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
- Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.”
Joshua 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Memory Verse: Psalm 62:6 “He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.”
Rise-and-fall patterns in life are spiritually orchestrated by altars of instability. Like a house built on sand, every breakthrough seems promising, but the foundation collapses under pressure. Careers, finances, health, and relationships may prosper briefly, only to crash unexpectedly.
The altar of stability is the solid rock of God. Like the palm tree that bends but does not break, or the cedar whose roots run deep, God’s intention is permanent flourishing. Establishing this altar ensures that every breakthrough, platform, and blessing remains firm, unshaken, and productive.
Today, as we pray, we are tearing down every altar of rise-and-fall and planting the altar of divine stability, where what begins is finished, what grows is preserved, and progress becomes permanent.
Action Plan:
- Identify areas of instability repeating in your life.
- Anoint your hands and declare: “What I start, I will finish.”
- Step boldly toward one area of breakthrough that has stalled.

- When we stand by the cross,
Where the Lamb’s blood was shed,
Every altar of darkness must fall;
For the covenant flame
Now is speaking our name,
And the Lord breaks the chains of them all.
Refrain
Covenant freedom we claim,
Through the blood we are free;
Every bondage forever is gone,
At the altar of grace
We receive heaven’s place,
And the power of the cross leads on.
- Ancient voices may cry
From foundations gone by,
Trying still to control destiny;
But the blood of the Lamb
Has rewritten our plan,
And declares we are fully set free.
- Like the servant of God
Who tore Baal’s altar down,
We arise by the Spirit and stand;
Every covenant wrong
Cannot linger for long,
When the Lord builds His throne in the land.
- Now the altar of Christ
Speaks redemption and life,
And the curse has no hold anymore;
Generations shall rise
Under covenant skies,
For the Lord has unlocked every door.
- Every altar of night
Loses power and right
When the covenant altar appears;
For the blood now proclaims
Victory over our names,
And the Lord wipes away all our fears.
- So we lift up our voice
And in Christ we rejoice,
For the battle is won by His grace;
Every altar must bow
To the Saviour just now,
And His kingdom shall reign in this place.
Prayers:
- Pray to Establish Stability in Your Finances
Proverbs 10:4 “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
Financial instability resembles a car with flat tyres; even with fuel in the tank, movement becomes slow and difficult. Lack of diligence weakens financial progress. Proverbs 10:4 teaches that steady effort and discipline produce prosperity. When diligence combines with God’s blessing, stability replaces uncertainty. Like properly inflated tyres and a strong engine, diligence empowers consistent progress, helping you to move steadily toward financial growth and lasting prosperity.
Prayers points:
- Father, establish stability in my finances; strengthen the works of my hands and remove every pattern of lack or uncertainty, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every sudden financial collapse from my life; grant me wisdom, discipline, and protection over my resources, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, bless my diligence and establish my work; increase my income and cause my labour to produce steady prosperity, in Jesus’ name.
- Pray for Stabile Health
3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
Stable health is essential for a productive and fulfilled life. A body suffering repeated illness is like a boat with small leaks; even when it floats, the leaks slowly weaken its ability to stay afloat. God’s desire is that His people prosper and live in good health. When His healing power flows, it seals the leaks of sickness, restores strength, and establishes lasting vitality that will empower you to live effectively.
Prayer Points
- Lord, destroy every altar or spiritual source causing recurring illness in my body; let Your healing power restore complete health and stability, in Jesus’ name.
- Father, plant permanent health in my body; remove every root of sickness and establish strength, vitality, and divine health, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, replace every weakness in my body with divine strength; let Your healing virtue flow through me and sustain my health daily, in Jesus’ name.
- Pray for Stability in Relationships
Ecclesiastes 4:9 “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
- Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
- And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Stable relationships are essential for strength and support in life. A relationship without stability is like a rope fraying at both ends, gradually losing the strength to hold weight. Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 teaches that unity creates resilience and protection. When God becomes the third strand in relationships, He reinforces the bond. His covenant presence strengthens trust, restores unity, and helps relationships withstand pressures, conflicts, and challenges over time.
Prayer Points:
- Father, stabilize every relationship in my life and family; let Your peace, wisdom, and understanding strengthen our bonds and preserve unity, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every cycle of betrayal, misunderstanding, and separation from my relationships; restore trust, harmony, and lasting connection among us, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let love, unity, and peace reign permanently in my relationships; strengthen every bond by Your covenant presence, in Jesus’ name.
- Pray Stability in Career and Promotion
Psalm 75:6–7
- “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
- But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”
Career instability can resemble a ladder with missing rungs. Even when someone tries to climb, the journey becomes risky and incomplete. Psalm 75:6–7 reminds us that promotion ultimately comes from God, not merely from human influence or circumstances. When God establishes you, He restores the missing steps of progress. His favour secures positions, strengthens opportunities, and ensures that advancement becomes steady, safe, and sustainable.
Prayer Points:
- Father, establish my career permanently; let the work of my hands be recognised and rewarded with lasting progress and stability, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, secure every promotion and position You grant me; let no power remove or undermine the advancement You have ordained, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, destroy every obstacle causing setbacks in my career; restore progress and position me for continuous advancement, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Ministry
1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
Ministry without stability is like a ship tossed by stormy waves, constantly moving but making little progress. 1 Corinthians 15:58 encourages steadfastness and consistency in God’s work. When ministry is anchored in God’s purpose, efforts become fruitful and enduring. Stability ensures that efforts and labour are not wasted but produces lasting impact. With God’s strength, ministry grows steadily, overcoming challenges and fulfilling its divine assignment effectively over time.
Prayers:
- Father, establish all my ministry efforts permanently; let my service remain steadfast, fruitful, and impactful, bringing glory to Your name continually, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let my labour in Your Kingdom produce lasting fruit; empower me to remain consistent, diligent, and effective in every assignment that You placed in my hands, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every spiritual attack causing decline in my ministry; strengthen and sustain my calling with grace and divine support, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Education
Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
Education without stability is like a sandcastle at high tide; it may look strong for a moment but quickly erodes under pressure. Proverbs 4:7 emphasises the importance of wisdom and understanding as the foundation of lasting knowledge. When God anchors learning with understanding, progress becomes steady and meaningful. Stability in education ensures that knowledge is retained, applied effectively, and leads to lasting achievement and fulfilment in life.
Prayers:
- Father, establish my academic progress permanently; grant me wisdom and understanding so my learning remains steady, fruitful, and successful in every area, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let my learning lead to fulfilment; empower me with insight and clarity so that knowledge gained will produces lasting results and meaningful achievements, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every distraction and repeated failure from my academic journey; and that of my children, strengthen our focus and grant consistent success, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Spiritual Life
James 1:5. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
Spiritual instability is like a lamp flickering in the wind; though it gives light, it cannot shine consistently or guide clearly. James 1:6 teaches that faith must be steady and unwavering. When faith is anchored in God, spiritual life becomes stable and effective. Just as a protected flame burns steadily, a grounded believer grows consistently, prays with confidence, and walks in clarity, unaffected by doubt or changing circumstances.
Prayers:
- Father, establish permanent spiritual growth in my life; let my walk with You remain consistent, fruitful, and firmly rooted in Your Word, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, strengthen my faith to remain unwavering; remove every doubt and fear, and help me trust You fully in every situation, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every fluctuation in my prayer life; grant me consistency, discipline, and spiritual strength to remain steadfast in communion with You, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Influence and Leadership
Daniel 6:3 “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”
Influence and leadership without stability are like a flag in shifting wind, constantly changing direction and never firmly established. Daniel’s life shows that an excellent spirit creates lasting influence. When God establishes leadership, it becomes steady and respected. His favour secures positions beyond human manipulation. Just as a firmly planted structure withstands storms, divine establishment ensures that influence remains consistent, impactful, and protected from sudden loss or instability.
Prayers:
- Father, establish my influence permanently; let my impact grow steadily and be recognised, respected, and sustained by Your power, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, secure every leadership position You have given me; let no power remove or undermine my authority and influence, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every sabotage, opposition, or conspiracy against my leadership; let Your favour preserve and strengthen my position continually, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Projects and Business Ventures
Ecclesiastes 11:6 “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”
Projects and business ventures without stability are like seeds planted on rocky ground; they may sprout briefly but cannot develop deep roots for lasting growth. Ecclesiastes 11:6 encourages consistent effort and trust in God for results. When divine favour meets diligence, ventures become productive and sustainable. Just as fertile soil supports continuous growth, God’s blessing ensures that efforts yield enduring returns and stability in business.
Prayers:
- Father, stabilize every business project I undertake; let my efforts be established and produce consistent growth, profitability, and lasting success, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let every seed of effort I sow yield enduring returns; bless my ventures with favour, wisdom, and sustained increase, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every sudden loss, cancellation, or failure in my business; secure my investments and establish long-term stability, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Friendships, Relationships and Support Networks
Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
Friendship and support systems without stability are like trees uprooted by strong winds; they cannot stand firm when pressure comes. Proverbs 17:17 shows that true relationships endure in all seasons, especially during adversity. When God establishes connections, they become reliable and lasting. His hand brings trustworthy people into one’s life, ensuring that support remains consistent, strengthening bonds and providing help when it is most needed.
Prayers:
- Father, establish loyal and trustworthy friends in my life; let my relationships be strong, dependable, and enduring through every season, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every fickle or unstable helper from my life; replace them with sincere, committed, and supportive relationships, in Jesus’ name.
- O Lord, let every divine connection in my life remain steadfast; strengthen bonds of love, trust, and support for lasting impact, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Peace of Mind
Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
Peace of mind without stability is like a river with broken dams, where water flows uncontrollably and causes destruction. Isaiah 26:3 shows that God gives perfect peace to those who fix their minds on Him. When trust in God becomes steady, emotional turbulence is controlled and calm is restored. His presence regulates the heart, ensuring stability even during trials, pressures, and uncertain seasons of life.
Prayers:
- Father, stabilize my mental and emotional peace; keep my mind fixed on You and establish calmness, clarity, and stability within me, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every sudden stress attack, anxiety, and fear from my life; fill my heart with Your perfect peace and assurance, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let me remain unshaken in every trial; strengthen my heart with Your peace and keep me steady through all challenges, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Vision and Goals
Habakkuk 2:2 “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Vision without stability is like a map torn and scattered by strong winds, making direction unclear and progress difficult. Habakkuk 2:2 shows that God gives clarity and structure to vision so it can be followed with purpose. When God establishes a vision, it becomes focused, achievable, and protected from confusion. Stability in vision ensures consistent progress, clear direction, and the fulfilment of destiny without unnecessary delays or distractions.
Prayers:
- Father, establish my vision permanently; let my goals remain clear, focused, and divinely guided until full manifestation and success is achieved, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let every goal You have placed in my heart be fulfilled completely; grant me grace, strength, and consistency to achieve them, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every distraction, confusion, and reversal pattern from my life; keep me focused and aligned with Your purpose continually, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Family Heritage
Psalm 112:2 “His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.”
Family heritage without stability is like a tree with shallow roots, easily uprooted by wind and unable to sustain long-term growth. Psalm 112:2 shows that God establishes generational blessing for the righteous, making their descendants strong and influential. When God secures a family line, stability replaces instability, and blessings continue across generations. His covenant ensures that rise-and-fall patterns are broken, and lasting honour and prosperity are established in the family.
Prayers:
- Father, establish my family permanently in Your covenant; let every instability in my family line be broken and replaced with lasting divine foundation, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, bless my descendants with stability, favour, and prosperity; let generational blessings flow continuously through my family line, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every ancestral altar causing rise-and-fall patterns in my family; establish lasting peace, progress, and generational strength, in Jesus’ name.
- Stability in Life’s Seasons
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
Life without stability in seasons is like a clock with broken gears, where time does not align and movement becomes confused. Ecclesiastes 3:1 shows that God has ordained specific seasons for every purpose. When God brings stability, transitions become smooth, timing becomes accurate, and progress becomes orderly. His wisdom ensures that every phase of life aligns perfectly, preventing confusion and repeated setbacks while guiding destiny into fulfilment.
Prayers:
- Father, stabilize every season of my life; align my times with Your purpose and let every area of confusion be replaced with divine order, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, let every transition in my life be smooth, peaceful, and successful; remove delays and establish lasting progress in every new season, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, remove every disruption, delay, and repeated setback from my life; establish divine timing and perfect order in all my seasons, in Jesus’ name.
DECLARATION
Beloved listeners and partners of Covenant Gate Prayer Ministry, today we rise together in the authority of Jesus Christ to dismantle every altar of rising-and-falling that has caused instability in your lives, families, finances, ministries, and relationships. According to Psalm 62:6, “He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.” We declare today that instability has no place in our lives.
Every altar causing sudden financial loss, unexpected career collapse, failing businesses, broken relationships, or recurring setbacks is destroyed by fire from heaven. The Lord is planting us like cedars in Lebanon, deep-rooted, flourishing, and permanently established. What rises will stay risen; what begins will be completed. Every blessing from God now bears the mark of permanence.
I declare stability over your finances, careers, health, ministries, and education. All helpers, partners, and divine connections remain in place. Every work of our hands prospers and remains unshaken. No longer will breakthroughs vanish or victories be temporary. The cycles of starting over and beginning again are broken.
We announce to partners and listeners that the altar of stability is being raised in every sphere of our lives. God is establishing permanence in destinies, blessing families, securing ministries, and planting believers firmly in divine favour. From this moment, instability is replaced with steadfast progress, and every rise-and-fall pattern is cancelled.
Let every listener and partner proclaim: “What I start, I will finish. What God gives me remains. I am planted in His courts, and I shall flourish without interruption.”
In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
