Day 7 of 21 Fasting: Restoration is Possible but Requires Warfare

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL TO BRING HOPE AND REVIVAL

Day 7 of 21 Fasting: Restoration is Possible but Requires Warfare

Bible Reading: 1 Samuel 30:6–8, 18–19

6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.

8 And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

1 Samuel 30:18–19

18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.

19 And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

Memory verse: Luke 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

Life sometimes brings us to painful moments where we lose valuable things because of wrong choices, sin, or attacks from the enemy. Many destinies have been diverted through ignorance, compromise, or carelessness. Yet, the good news is this: God is a God of restoration. No matter what has been stolen, wasted, or delayed, He has promised to restore. Joel 2:25 says, “I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” This means lost time, opportunities, and blessings can be recovered by God’s power.

However, restoration is never passive. It does not happen automatically. It requires warfare, faith, and intentional pursuit. David shows us a clear example. When he sinned and drifted from God, his life and kingdom suffered. But when he repented sincerely, fasted, prayed, and cried out to God, mercy found him again. Later, when his family and possessions were stolen in Ziklag (1 Samuel 30), David did not sit in self-pity. He confronted the enemy, pursued them by God’s command, and recovered all that was lost.

This teaches us that destiny recovery is not for the lazy or fearful. It takes repentance to break legal grounds of sin, fasting and prayer to align with God’s will, prophetic declarations to release His promises, and courage to confront the enemy’s camp. Restoration is a spiritual battle where the believer must rise with determination and refuse to settle for loss.

Satan will not release what he has stolen without a fight. That is why believers must wear the armour of God, resist the devil, and insist on their inheritance in Christ. Restoration also demands persistence. David encouraged himself in the Lord before pursuing the Amalekites, meaning your strength must first come from God.

The warfare for restoration also involves your mind. You must reject guilt, condemnation, and despair, because they weaken your ability to fight. Instead, hold firmly to God’s Word, stand on His promises, and declare boldly that your destiny will not end in defeat.

In summary, restoration is possible, but it is not cheap. It requires warfare through repentance, prayer, fasting, prophetic declaration, and bold action. If you rise in faith and fight for your destiny, God will empower you to recover all.

COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 129 “GOD, GIVE ME BACK MY DESTINY”

  1. Restoration of Lost Time

Joel 2:25 “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm my great army that I sent among you.”

Joel 2:25 is God’s powerful promise of restoration after judgment and loss. The “locusts” symbolize devastating seasons of destruction, whether caused by sin, disobedience, or enemy attack. Israel had experienced shame and barrenness, but God reassures them that no matter how severe the loss, His mercy can bring complete recovery. This is a deep revelation of God’s nature: He not only forgives but also restores wasted years, lost opportunities, broken relationships, and stolen blessings. It is a covenant assurance that nothing truly surrendered to Him is ever beyond redemption.

Time wasted in sin, ignorance, or affliction seems unrecoverable, but God redeems lost seasons. Joel shows that wasted years can be restored through divine intervention. God compresses time, multiplies opportunities, and accelerates destiny beyond natural limitation. Your present obedience and prayer can unlock divine speed. What men call lost, God calls recoverable. When restoration comes, God not only replaces but exceeds what was stolen.

Prayer Father, in Your mercy, restore every year, opportunity, blessing, and virtue the enemy has stolen. Let wasted seasons be redeemed and let my destiny shine brighter in Jesus’ name. Lord, redeem my wasted years. Accelerate my destiny, multiply opportunities, and turn every season of delay into divine progress, in Jesus’ mighty name.

  • Restoration through Repentance

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Sin opens doors to the enemy. David’s error brought battles, but repentance brought mercy. True restoration starts with sincere confession. Repentance closes satanic access, breaks curses, and repositions you for recovery. Many destinies remain trapped because repentance is neglected. God never restores without repentance, because forgiveness is the foundation of spiritual freedom. Confession is not weakness but strength. Restoration begins where humility is expressed.

Sin creates legal grounds for the enemy to operate in a believer’s life, but confession breaks that hold. God’s forgiveness is not only an act of mercy but also of justice because Jesus has already paid the price. Confession brings cleansing, renewal, and freedom from guilt. Ignorance keeps many bound in shame, but truth shows us that forgiveness is guaranteed in Christ. Forgiveness restores fellowship with God and reopens access to grace and destiny fulfilment.

Prayer Lord, I confess every sin before You today. Cleanse me by the blood of Jesus, restore my fellowship with You, and align my destiny with Your perfect will. I repent of every sin that opened doors for loss. Wash me with Jesus’ blood and restore my destiny by mercy, in Jesus’ name.

  • Pursue and Recover All

1 Samuel 30:8 “and David inquired of the Lord, ‘Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?’ ‘Pursue them,’ He answered. ‘You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.’”

This was a turning point in David’s life at Ziklag. After his family and possessions were taken, instead of rushing in anger, David sought God’s direction. His inquiry shows that destiny recovery requires divine guidance, not just human effort. God gave him a clear strategy: pursue, overtake, and recover all. This teaches that restoration is possible when we depend on God’s counsel. Many fail because of haste, but true victory in destiny battles comes from seeking God’s voice and obeying His instructions.

David faced total loss at Ziklag, but instead of despair, he sought divine direction. God commanded him to rise and pursue. Restoration is not passive; it requires action. Through prayer, obedience, and courage, stolen treasures can be recovered. Pursuit in faith guarantees recovery. The strategy is divine, not human. You must arise, pray, and take back what the enemy stole:  marriage, health, or opportunities.

Prayer Father, give me divine direction in every battle of life. By Your word, I pursue, overtake, and recover all the enemy has stolen from my destiny. Empower me to pursue and recover all the enemy stole from my life. Grant me divine direction for restoration, in Jesus’ name.

  • Prayer For Divine Empowerment for Battles

Psalm 18:34 “He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”

David acknowledges that his strength and skill in battle are not natural but God-given. Bending a bow of bronze symbolizes doing the impossible with divine empowerment. In the battles of destiny, human effort alone cannot guarantee victory. It is God who equips, trains, and empowers His children to confront and overcome spiritual adversaries. Ignorance will leave you defenseless, but divine training will arm you with wisdom, discernment, and strength. With God’s training, even the fiercest warfare in the market of destinies can be won.

No restoration happens without spiritual battle. The enemy fights to keep stolen treasures, but God has equipped you with strength. David declared that God trained him to bend a bow of bronze, showing supernatural enablement. Prayer, fasting, and Word study prepare your spirit for victory. You cannot fight by flesh; divine empowerment guarantees triumph. The Spirit of God equips for warfare and secures recovery.

Prayer: Lord, train my hands for battle and strengthen me for every destiny fight. By Your power, I break limitations and conquer every enemy opposing my divine purpose. Empower my spirit Oh LORD and grant me victory in the fight for restoration, in Jesus’ name.

  • Break Every Chain of Captivity

Isaiah 49:24–25 “Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce? But this is what the LORD says: ‘Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.’”

This is an assurance that no captivity is too strong for God to break through. The enemy may appear fierce, holding destinies, wealth, health, and families hostage, but God declares His supremacy. He Himself rises as the Mighty Deliverer, contending with powers that contend against His children. What human strength cannot recover, God rescues by divine authority. The “plunder” represents blessings, opportunities, and destinies stolen in the marketplace of life. Through His intervention, destinies are restored, oppressors are defeated, and His people walk in freedom.

Many blessings are trapped by spiritual captivity. Satan holds lives and destinies hostage, but God promises freedom. Even lawful captives are not beyond His deliverance. Chains of captivity must break for restoration to manifest. When the strong oppressor holds blessings, God’s power enforces release. Every imprisonment of destiny is temporary where divine intervention is invoked. Restoration requires chains to fall.

Prayer: Lord, break every chain holding my destiny captive. Deliver me from the mighty and restore all that belongs to me, in Jesus’ name. Lord, contend with those who contend with my destiny. Break the grip of every oppressor, and restore every blessing, opportunity, and inheritance stolen from my life in Jesus’ name.

  • Prayers For Restoration of Peace

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

In this verse, Jesus gives His disciples a supernatural peace that surpasses human understanding. Unlike the temporary peace of the world, His peace is enduring and rooted in God’s presence. The enemy often trades destinies by sowing fear, anxiety, and unrest in hearts, but Christ’s peace shields believers from such manipulation. This divine peace strengthens faith, guards the mind, and anchors destiny in God’s will. No storm, battle, or opposition can override the calm that Jesus gives to His children who trust Him.

Loss often robs peace of mind. Restored destiny requires peace, because confusion delays recovery. Jesus gives supernatural peace beyond circumstances. Peace strengthens focus for warfare and pursuit of destiny. Where fear and anxiety rule, restoration cannot thrive. Peace is restoration’s atmosphere. God restores inner calm to advance destiny.

Prayer Lord Jesus, fill my heart with Your peace. Let fear, anxiety, and confusion be silenced. Establish my destiny in Your calm assurance and unshakable presence, in Jesus’ name. Lord, restore Your peace in my life. Silence every storm and let my heart rest in You as I pursue destiny recovery, in Jesus’ mighty name.

  • Restoration by Fasting and Prayer

Mark 9:29 “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

Certain battles require deeper consecration. Jesus revealed that stubborn forces only bow to fasting and prayer. Restoration often demands sacrifice, consecration, and persistence. Fasting breaks yokes, sharpens discernment, and accelerates divine intervention. Where ordinary prayers fail, fasting opens doors.

To recover destiny, some altars must be confronted with higher power. Fasting is a weapon for total recovery.

Prayer: Lord, empower me through fasting and prayer to break stubborn strongholds and recover every area of my destiny, in Jesus’ mighty name.

  • Restoration through Divine Guidance

Isaiah 30:21 “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

Restoration begins with divine direction. David did not pursue the Amalekites until God gave clear instruction. Many destinies remain unrecovered due to wrong steps. Guidance secures restoration because God alone knows the right path. He directs you away from traps and towards recovery.

Destiny recovery is never a gamble; it is a precise obedience to divine leading. When God speaks, victory is sure.

Prayer: Father, guide me into the path of destiny recovery. Order my steps, direct my decisions, and lead me into complete restoration, in Jesus’ name. “Father, thank You for being my guide. Let my ears hear Your voice clearly. Direct my steps, keep me from error, and lead me always in Your perfect way.”

  • God’s Favor for Restoration

Psalm 102:13 “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favour to her; the appointed time has come.”

Restoration is accelerated by divine favour. Favour opens doors no effort can unlock. When God remembers you in mercy, restoration follows speedily. Israel’s captivity ended when God’s set time came. Favour causes men and systems to yield in your favour. Restoration is not by human strength but by divine compassion. When God favours you, lost opportunities return multiplied. Favor is restoration’s fuel.

Prayer: Lord, let Your favour locate me. By Your mercy, restore my lost blessings and let doors of destiny open for me, in Jesus’ name. Father, arise in mercy over my life. Let this year be my set time of favour. Every delay is broken; Your appointed blessings and breakthroughs manifest now, in Jesus’ name.

  1. Restoration of Health

Jeremiah 30:17: But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares

Sickness can steal years, joy, and productivity. God promises restoration of health as part of destiny recovery. Healing is a divine covenant benefit. Restoration of destiny is incomplete without restoration of health. The enemy often afflicts bodies to weaken destinies, but God restores vitality for kingdom assignment. Healing ensures you fulfil purpose. Divine health is divine wealth.

Prayer: Lord, restore my health and heal every wound in my body, spirit, and soul. Let my strength return speedily for destiny fulfilment, in Jesus’ name.

  1. Restoration of Finances

Haggai 2:8–9 “‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty. ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”

Financial loss cripples destinies. Many cannot fulfil purpose due to lack of resources. God declares ownership of silver and gold, meaning restoration of finances is His covenant promise. The glory of the latter house shall exceed the former, financial restoration exceeds past struggles.

God raises helpers, multiplies resources, and restores wealth for destiny execution. Restoration includes prosperity.

Prayer: Lord, restore my financial destiny. Open doors of wealth, multiply resources, and position me to prosper for kingdom purpose, in Jesus’ mighty name.

  1. Overcoming Resistance to Restoration

Zechariah 4:7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground.”

Every restoration journey faces resistance. Mountains of opposition confront progress. But God’s Word declares that obstacles shall be levelled.

Resistance bows to divine authority. When God backs you, hindrances crumble. Destiny recovery is warfare, but no mountain is too strong for God. The enemy fights restoration, but divine decree enforces victory. Faith turns mountains into plains.

Prayer: Lord, every mountain resisting my restoration, crumble by fire. Level every obstacle blocking my destiny recovery, in Jesus’ mighty name.

  1. Double Portion Restoration

Isaiah 61:7 “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.”

Restoration in God’s economy is never equal exchange. Where shame once existed, God gives double honour. Where loss occurred, God multiplies recovery. Job received twice what he lost.

Destiny restoration is designed for abundance, not partial replacement. Double portion restoration ensures the past cannot compare with the future. God specializes in exceeding expectations.

Prayer: Lord, restore double for my trouble. Replace shame with honour and loss with abundance, in Jesus’ mighty name.

  1. Restoration of Joy

Psalm 51:12 “Restore to me the joy of your salvation…”

Loss drains joy. David prayed not only for forgiveness but for the restoration of joy. Joy is strength for warfare. Without joy, progress halts. Restoration is incomplete without joy. The enemy uses sorrow to weaken, but joy empowers faith. God restores joy to strengthen you for your journey.

Joy is the fuel for recovery.

Prayer: Lord, restore the joy of my salvation. Fill my heart with gladness and let divine strength return for destiny fulfilment, in Jesus’ mighty name.

Declaration: Restoration and Destiny Preservation

In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that your destiny is preserved by the power of God. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every voice raised against your life is silenced by the blood of Jesus.

I decree that every chain of delay, failure, and stagnation is broken. Whatever the enemy has stolen: your health, peace, opportunities, or relationships shall be restored sevenfold. The Lord says, “I will restore the years the locusts have eaten” (Joel 2:25), therefore, your wasted years are transformed into years of abundance and joy.

I declare wisdom and discernment over your decisions. You will not walk in ignorance, but in the light of God’s Word, which directs your path (Psalm 119:105). Every trap of the enemy is exposed, and you are delivered from every hidden snare.

I decree that your household is blessed, your hands are strengthened, and your gates remain open to favour, resources, and divine helpers. You will not be a victim of satanic exchange; your inheritance in Christ remains intact.

From today, you rise as a testimony of restoration, favour, and victory. You shall recover all, and nothing shall be missing in your destiny. Amen!

Declarations for Partners

In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare over every partner connected to this vision that restoration is your portion. Whatever the enemy has stolen, time, opportunities, finances, relationships, health, or destiny shall be recovered by the power of God. Like David who pursued, overtook, and recovered all (1 Samuel 30:8), you will not remain in loss. You will rise in strength, clothed with divine wisdom, and nothing shall hinder your restoration.

I decree that every partner walking in covenant with this ministry will experience unusual breakthroughs. The years wasted in delay are restored with speed, multiplied blessings, and divine favour. Your seed in prayer, finances, and service is a spiritual weapon that speaks for you in heavenly places.

I declare that no voice of accusation, no satanic exchange, and no altar of delay shall prevail over your destiny. The blood of Jesus speaks better things on your behalf. Every battle designed to weary you shall end in your testimony.

I decree restoration of vision, restoration of health, restoration of marriages, restoration of influence, and restoration of glory. Partners, you are rising higher, stronger, and victorious. You shall recover all, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
