Text: Genesis 19:12–13
12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath sent us to destroy it.
Spiritual Communication Can Originate from Angels
Memory verse: Matthew 1:20 “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”
Angels are divine messengers assigned by God to carry and deliver spiritual messages to His people. They serve as instruments through which God conveys guidance, warnings, encouragement, protection, and revelation. Angelic messages always originates from God’s authority and aligns with His will and Word. Angels do not act independently; they function as servants executing God’s instructions for the benefit of those who belong to Him.
Throughout the Scripture, angels communicated God’s messages to individuals at critical moments. An angel announced the birth of Jesus to Mary, bringing clarity and assurance about her divine assignment. Angels also warned Joseph in a dream to protect the child Jesus from danger. In another instance, an angel strengthened Jesus in the garden before His crucifixion. These examples show that angelic messages brings direction, protection, encouragement, and preparation for divine purpose. Angelic messages may come through dreams, visions, inner impressions, or supernatural encounters, but its purpose is always to fulfill God’s plan. When angels communicate, their message produces peace, clarity, and alignment with God’s truth. They never contradict God’s Word or promote confusion. Their assignments often increase during times of transition, danger, or divine assignment.
However, spiritual readiness is necessary to receive and discern angelic communication. You must maintain a close relationship with God, because angels respond to God’s authority, not human command. Sensitivity grows through prayer, faith, purity, and obedience. When a person lives in alignment with God, angelic assistance and communication become more active in fulfilling divine purpose.
Action Plans:
- Develop a consistent prayer life to remain spiritually connected and sensitive to divine activity.
- Study the Scripture regularly to understand God’s ways and discern true spiritual communication.
- Maintain purity, faith, and obedience, creating an atmosphere where angelic ministry can operate freely in your life.
COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 29: SS&S 642: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
- When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obeyTrust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
- Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
- Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
- But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
- Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
