Text: 1 John 4:1-3
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Spiritual Communication Can Originate from Demonic Spirits
Memory Verse: James 4:7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Demonic spirits are fallen spiritual beings that oppose God and seek to influence human thoughts, emotions, and decisions through deceptive interactions. Their goal is to mislead, weaken faith, create confusion, promote fear, and divert you from God’s truth and purpose. Demonic messages are communicated and designed to appear convincing but ultimately leads to error, bondage, and spiritual harm.
Demonic spirits communicate through negative thoughts, persistent fear, deception, temptation, confusion, false impressions, and spiritual oppression. These communications often contradict God’s Word and produce anxiety, doubt, condemnation, and unrest. Unlike divine communication, which brings peace and clarity, demonic messages create pressure, fear, and instability. Their objective is to distort the truth and influence decisions that lead away from God’s will.
The Scripture warns us to be spiritually alert and discerning because not every spiritual messages originates from God. Demonic spirits may attempt to imitate truth to deceive those who are spiritually unaware. This is why spiritual discernment is essential. you must test every spirit and measure every message against God’s Word. Any communication that contradicts the Scripture, promotes fear, or encourages disobedience does not originate from God.
Victory over demonic messages comes through faith in God, knowledge of His Word, prayer, and spiritual authority. When you maintain a strong spiritual life, demonic influence loses its power. The Holy Spirit provides discernment and helps you to recognize and reject every false message. God has given followers authority to resist demonic influence and remain spiritually protected.

-
- Jesus, keep me near the cross,
there a precious fountain,
free to all, a healing stream,
flows from Calvary’s mountain.
Refrain
In the cross, in the cross,
be my glory ever;
’til my raptured soul shall find,
rest beyond the river.
- Near the cross, a trembling soul,
love and mercy found me;
there the bright and morning star
sheds its beams around me.
- Near the cross! O Lamb of God,
bring its scenes before me;
help me walk from day to day,
with its shadows over me.
- Near the cross I’ll watch and wait,
hoping, trusting ever,
’til I reach the golden strand,
just beyond the river.
