Text: Job 33:14–15
14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Spiritual Communication Can Originate from God
Memory verse: Hebrews 1:2 “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.”
Spiritual communication that originates from God is the highest and most reliable form of guidance you can receive. God, as the Creator of man, communicates His will, wisdom, and purposes to guide individuals into their divine destiny. His communication brings clarity, direction, protection, correction, and encouragement. Unlike human communication, God’s communication is perfect, truthful, and aligned with His eternal purpose. God communicates because He desires relationship with His people. From the beginning, God spoke to Adam to guide and instruct him. Throughout the Scripture, God communicated with His servants to reveal His plans and prepare them for future events. His communication is not limited by time, distance, or physical barriers. He can speak at any time and in any situation.
God communicates in ways that align with His nature, bringing peace, clarity, and assurance. His voice does not create confusion, fear, or contradiction to His Word. When God speaks, His communication often brings conviction, guidance, and inner certainty. Even when He corrects, His purpose is to restore and align, not to destroy. Divine communication also preserves destiny. Many people avoid danger, make wise decisions, and fulfill their purpose because they listened to God’s guidance. His communication can warn before danger appears, direct toward opportunities, and provide solutions beyond human understanding.
However, receiving communication from God requires spiritual readiness. God speaks to those who are willing to listen, trust, and obey. A distracted, fearful, or disobedient heart may struggle to recognize His voice. But a humble, faithful, and attentive spirit becomes more sensitive to divine communication. As spiritual sensitivity grows, recognizing God’s communication becomes easier. Over time, His voice becomes familiar, bringing confidence and stability even in uncertain situations. God’s communication is a gift that ensures His people are never without guidance.
Action Plans:
• Develop a daily habit of prayer and fellowship to stay connected to God.
• Study God’s Word regularly to understand His voice and character.
• Obey God’s guidance promptly to strengthen your ability to hear Him clearly.
COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 29: SS&S 642: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
- When we walk with the Lord in the light of his Word
What a glory he sheds on our way
While we do his good will, he abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obeyTrust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
- Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But his smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh nor a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey
- Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share
But our toil he doth richly repay
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown or a cross
But is blest if we trust and obey
- But we never can prove the delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor he shows, and the joy he bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey
- Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet
Or we will walk by his side in the way
What he says we will do, where he sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey
