Bible Text: Psalm 119:97–105
How I love your law!
It is my meditation all day.
Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
for your commandments are always with me.
I have more understanding than all my teachers,
for your testimonies are my meditation.
I understand more than the aged,
because I have kept your precepts.
I have kept my feet from every evil way,
that I might observe your word.
I have not turned away from your ordinances,
for you have taught me.
How sweet are your promises to my taste,
more than honey to my mouth!
Through your precepts, I get understanding;
therefore I hate every false way.
Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path.
Memory Verse:
Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
A tree with deep roots remains stable during storms and continues to receive nourishment. A believer who is deeply rooted in God’s Word remain spiritually strong, discerning, and able to see clearly despite life’s challenges and distractions. One of the most important ways to maintain spiritual sight is to stay rooted in God’s Word. The Word of God is the primary source of spiritual light, wisdom, and understanding. Without it, believers become vulnerable to confusion, deception, and spiritual drift. God’s Word illuminates the path of life and enables you to walk according to His truth.
Spiritual sight depends upon spiritual light, and God’s Word provides that light. It reveals God’s character, His will, His promises, and His standards. Through the Scripture, you learn to distinguish truth from error, righteousness from sin, and divine guidance from human reasoning. A believer who neglects the Word gradually loses clarity and becomes vulnerable to wrong influences. Remaining rooted in Scripture strengthens discernment. The more you meditate on God’s Word, the more you develop the ability to recognize what aligns with God’s truth. The Word renews the mind, corrects wrong thinking, and provides wisdom for daily decisions. It becomes a safeguard against deception and spiritual blindness.
God’s Word also nourishes spiritual growth. Just as physical food sustains the body, Scripture strengthens the inner person. Regular study, meditation, and application of God’s Word help to get mature in faith and remain spiritually sensitive. A heart filled with God’s truth is better equipped to recognize His voice and follow His direction. Challenges, temptations, and distractions are inevitable, but believers rooted in Scripture remain stable. God’s Word provides comfort during trials, guidance during uncertainty, and correction when mistakes are made. It directs you back to God’s purposes and keeps spiritual vision clear.
Jesus consistently relied upon God’s Word throughout His earthly ministry. He defeated temptation, taught truth, and fulfilled His mission through complete submission to the Father’s Word. We are called to follow His example by making the Scripture the foundation of our lives.

Covenant Gate Hymnals 131: Break the Chains, O Lord (Tune: Amazing Grace) By Apostle James Abache
From darkness into day;
Break every chain and set us free,
And guide us in Your way.
Refrain
Break the chains, O Lord, we pray,
And drive all fear away;
By Your blood we overcome,
And walk in endless day.
The sins of old, the voice of shame,
Are silenced by Your Word;
Through Jesus’ blood we overcome,
Our victory is secured.
New songs we sing, new paths we tread,
For Christ has won the fight;
The grave is torn, new life is born,
We walk as children bright.
