UNASHAMED WITNESSES OF THE GOSPEL

UNASHAMED WITNESSES OF THE GOSPEL

Text: Acts 4:19–20

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Matthew 10:32–33

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

UNASHAMED WITNESSES OF THE GOSPEL

Memory verse: Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

The gospel is not a secret to be hidden; it is a light to be declared. Apostle Paul’s boldness in Romans 1:16 was born out of conviction, he knew that the gospel is the only message with the power to save, heal, and transform.

To be ashamed of the gospel is to underestimate its power. The world may mock it as outdated or foolish, but to the believer, it remains the wisdom and power of God. Every time you share the message of Jesus, you unleash divine energy that can alter eternal destinies.

Being unashamed means carrying the message of Christ everywhere, in your words, your conduct, your workplace, and even on social media. The gospel does not only belong to the pulpits; it belongs to the classrooms, boardrooms, and streets. Your testimony is someone’s doorway to salvation.

The early apostles faced persecution but never silence. They were beaten, imprisoned, and threatened, yet they declared, “We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” Acts 4:20. That is the spirit of the gospel, fearless, unstoppable, and full of grace.

We live in an age where many are loud about sin but quiet about salvation. The world needs witnesses, not whisperers. The gospel must not end with us; it must flow through us. As carriers of divine power, our duty is to proclaim Christ crucified, risen, and reigning until all hear and believe.

COVENANT GATE HYMNALS 100 THE RESURRECTION AND LIFE IN THE SPIRIT: By Apostle James Abache

  1. There is a life reserved for the poor body at last,

Though it lies in the dust, in death so vast.

The Spirit of God, who raised Christ from the dead,

Shall quicken our bodies, by His power led.

Refrain:

He that raised up Christ, shall raise us too,

From corruption to glory, in light anew.

By His Spirit that dwells, He shall make us whole,

Resurrected in body, renewed in soul.

  1. Though our bodies lie broken, cast down with the dust,

God remembers His covenant, in Him we trust.

The body shall rise, clothed in glory divine,

Like Christ, our Savior, in beauty will shine.

  1. O grave, where’s your victory, where’s your sting?

For Christ has triumphed, and life He will bring.

The Spirit of God now quickens our frame,

And we shall rise, forever His name!

  1. The body of saints, though weary and torn,

Shall rise in strength, to be reborn.

In the temple of flesh, His Spirit resides,

Through Him we shall live, where glory abides.

Bridge:

So walk in the Spirit, not after the flesh,

For He will transform you, make you afresh.

Our bodies, though frail, shall be raised in His might,

And clothed in His glory, with joy and delight!

Outro:

Hallelujah! He lives, and we shall live too,

By His Spirit, we rise, forever made new.

He that raised up Christ, shall raise us to stand,

In glory eternal, at His right hand!
